These last 2 posts are not client-related assignments. Rather, they were used as practice to assist our growth for future contributions to the client’s media kit. Both pieces challenged our AP writing skills and provided a means of trial and error with formatted copy.
This fundraising letter assignment required us to strategically appeal to parents for donations to support a fake teen texting and driving campaign in Morgantown, W. Va. I used emotional appeal with a story regarding a teen death while texting and operating a vehicle, and I used personalization with names and direct requests. This assignment assisted was great practice for future fundraising endeavors.
